Set of thirty plates from : " Description de l'Égypte, ou Recueil des observations et des recherches which were made in Egypt during the expedition of the French Army, published by the orders of His Majesty the Emperor Napoleon the Great". Plates of the 2nd edition published by Charles-Louis Fleury Panckoucke, Paris 1821-1829. The sheets bear the original dry stamp showing an obelisk erected behind a sphinx (Lugt 4348). Engravings on on wove paper representing the temples or remarkable places of remarkable places of Thebes, Koum Omboû, Kaire (sic), Esné, Alexandria, Philaé, Edfou, etc. Distribution: Twenty simple plates. 54 x 71 cm Ten monumental plates. 67 x 108 cm The set is in good condition of conservation
