Relation of the naval expedition launched in 1114 by the combined armies of the Republic of Pisa and Catalonia against the Taifa of Mallorca, in order to free Christian slaves and put an end to the acts of piracy perpetrated by the small Arab emirate on the Christian coasts and in the Mediterranean.
This military enterprise was celebrated in its time in an epic known as Liber Maiolichinus de gestis Pisanorum illustribus.
The edition is based on an unpublished manuscript of the author, a Pisan lawyer who lived in the 16th century.
