MANUSCRIT. - Collection of 14 hand-drawn and hand-colored battle plans. In-folio, brown half calf with corners (19th century binding.).
Collection made by an amateur around 1810, including 14 hand-drawn and hand-colored plans of historical battles: battle of Testry (689), battle of Mont-Faucon won by Eudes over the Normans in 888, battle of Hastings won by William the Conqueror in 1066, Poitiers, Crécy (1346), Cocherel, Azincourt (1415), battle of Pas de Suze, battle of Cerisolles, Saint-Denis and Dreux.
The first 7 plans are each accompanied by handwritten notes on a separate page; all mounted on blue paper leaves.
