First edition of this very beautiful and rare book on baroque perspective, by the German painter and architect Paul Heineken (1680-1746).
The illustration, engraved in intaglio, includes a frontispiece engraved by Georg David Nessenthaler after the author, and 105 engravings spread over 95 plates representing views, church interiors, ornaments, altars, tombs, ceilings decorated in trompe-l'oeil, etc.
Lower margin of the title cut out. Mottling at the top of the spine and at the bottom of the signatures.
