Exceptional box
Rectangular shape, the frame with rich ormolu and chiseled decoration holding enamelled plates in reserves representing mythological scenes. The interior reveals the back of the enamelled plates, with a grotesque decoration and annotations of the title of the scenes. A niche at each corner holding carved and gilded bronze musicians, the base presenting a brass plate with embossed decoration of griffins and resting on four claw feet.
