HOKUSAI KATSUSHIKA (1760 - 1849). Joshu Ushibori (Fuji from Ushibori in Hitachi province), from the series Fugaku sanjurokkei (Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji). Blue woodcut on rice paper depicting a large cargo ship and a sailor emptying a bucket of water into the sea. Signature top left. Provenance Christie's, auction 3717, 22 April 2015, lot 56.
