PARIS or TROYES around 1540 Silver hunting spoon. The stem, ending in a deer hoof, is extended by a long rat-tail attachment on the hammered spoon. Master silversmith : onomastic mark, attributed to a member of the BOULANGER family, an important family of silversmiths over several generations in Paris and Troyes, with a sheaf of wheat as a symbol, or a member of the FAGOT family according to Michèle Bimbenet-Privat's interpretation. Weight : 30,4 g - length : 13,5 cm Exhibition: Appeared at the 1936 exhibition at the Pavillon de Marsan, under No. 422 in the catalog.
