Kard dagger, Ottoman Empire, early 19th century
Single-edged damascus steel blade with curved tip, flat back with central ridge, then cased after a small break. Heel inlaid with gold drawing a half-lambrequin decorated with bifid palmettes and rosettes. Curved guard with cut sides inlaid with gold stylized tulips. Bone or walrus ivory handle with a metal ring near the guard.
Length : 32,7 cm
Some wear, traces of rust and oxidation.
