This pillar in the form of a shattered trunk symbolizes the spine of Osiris and in this case, surmounted by the atef crown. It is used as a ritual object in the mysteries of the God of the Dead. In a funerary context, the djed pillar protected the deceased in the Amdouat.

This pillar which symbolized the backbone of Osiris, is surmounted by the atef crown. Served as a ritual object during the mysteries of the god of the dead. In a funerary context, it would have protected the deceased in the life in the Hereafter.
