MISCELLANEOUS. Pair of HAWKINS flintlock pistols with walnut mounts, solid silver fittings (350 gr. total), round bronze barrels slightly blunderbuss engraved with scrolls and "LONDON", stamped "ELG" (Liege), numbered 122, flintlock locks engraved with the American eagle, stock caps with "grotesque" masks, cast silver bridges and counterplates. Cal. 14,5 mm PN. L: 36 cm, barrels: 20,5 cm. Presented in a case with lead bullets. 20th century period. BE These are commemorative pistols called "WASHINGTON", from the Belgian firm Centaure, reproducing a unique model that belonged to B. Dandridge, George Washington's secretary, in the museum of West Point in the USA. This production ordered by the US Historical society was limited to 459 pairs.
