(spine title). Album with 98 pasted or pressed sea plants (algae), probably La Rochelle, late 19th c. Cl.4°. Old style album with gold stamped title. (Strongly rubbed and somewhat bumped). Very well preserved herbarium, with 1 plant per leaf, mostly with the (probably later) Latin designation in pencil. According to the handwritten ownership notes on the front flyleaf, the herbarium was owned by the Berlan family in la Rochelle (1898/1909). - Some wrappers creased or somewhat damaged. Ownership inscription on front endpaper.
