"The 2nd vol. contains the results of I.'s further studies on plant assimilation and respiration, which led him to believe that plants and animals are mutually supportive" (Normen). - Both title pages somewhat damaged by stamp shaving, vol. 1 at the end waterstained and wavy and partly somewhat browned, vol. 2 at the beginning with worming and faint waterstain at the lower margin in the front.
