B-536) Elizabeth Pryce Collection, Sydney Sotheby's, October 10, 2018, no. 71 Beautiful and ancient archer's shield fitting into a rectangle with a rounded base, the top wide open with a notch for the arm to pass through. Two holes allow the attachment of a rope to hold the shield, always present on the back. The front is decorated with a large cross pattern enhanced with brown, red and white pigments. On the back an old collection number in white ink.
