STATUETTE, KERAM RIVER, PAPUA NEW GUINEA Wood H. 20 cm Provenance: Collected by geologist George Anderman in the 1970s. Collection number: 120.77. 3A Denver Museum of Art, USA Statuette depicting a male figure, ovoid face, almond shaped eyes and arrow nose. This type of charm was used for hunting trips aboard canoes. Nice patina still crusty in places. On the back, an old label with an inventory number.
