The coronation of Jean Jacques Rousseau Engraving. His bust is placed by a genius and helmeted Minerva in an architectural niche, between those of Numa and Lycurgus, with at his feet, a rudder with the arms of France, a horn of plenty, a caduceus, a compass, a lyre, a palette, and his works Du contrat social and Emile. 375 x 295 mm (at sight) Extremely rare copy before the letter, no other known. Provenance: Louis Jean Pierre Valentin (Gaillac 1818-Paris 1897), merchant, Paris (Lugt 2498).
