Attributed to the Maison Bontemps, circa 1900... Lot 280

Attributed to the Maison Bontemps, circa 1900 Gilt metal singing bird cage with walnut base. Topped by a suspension ring, it opens in front by a door giving access to three naturalized birds singing and moving, one of which is standing on a perch decorated with vine branches. The octagonal lower part is enriched with gilded metal appliques on each side. The winding mechanism is at the base and the operating pull at the bottom of the cage. Height 56 cm, width 24.5 cm, depth 24 cm (in working order, to be cleaned, accidents and missing parts)
