Ewer in embossed and engraved copper. Body of ovoid form divided into three registers: bearded and leafy masks, leafy branches; symmetrical scrolls and terms, cartouche bearing a coat of arms corresponding to that of Paris Gules to the silver nave sailing on the waves of the same; to the chief of azure, sown with lilies of gold; symmetrical florets and foliage; scalloped spout, serpentiform handle supported on a grimacing mask; pedestal Northern Italy, Venice, circa 1530 Height : 34 cm (upper part replaced, pedestal redone, later coat of arms ?) The coat of arms of Paris, which corresponds to that of the capital in the 16th century, was probably not engraved in Italy (fig.).
