The prophet, standing on the right, addresses a woman wearing a touret and two men seated in front of him; trees with stylized foliage behind the saint and between the listeners. Second third of the 13th century Height: 58,7 cm - Width: 58,7 cm In a metal structure (broken and restored, especially the cloak of St. John the Baptist) Provenance: Former private collection, Switzerland This is a panel that belonged to a stained glass window depicting the life of St. John the Baptist, such as can be seen in the cathedral of Clermont-Ferrand or Bourges, both from the 13th century.
