Paris, De Gonet, 1847. 2 volumes bound in one volume. 17,5 by 26 cm. 52 plates in chromolithographs off-text (with the two frontispieces) and two plates in black (complete). Contemporary black half-chagrin, 4 nerves, cloth boards decorated with 4 large spandrels, and a central figure (a woman with a bird), all edges gilt. One spine cracked on 10 cm. Throat slightly relaxed. Freckles present throughout the book, but having fortunately spared the engravings of GRANDVILLE.
