PAKISTANESE CARPET (Pakistan), 3rd third of the 20th century
Dimensions: 182 x 123cm.
Technical characteristics : wool velvet on a cotton foundation.
A brick field hosts a sowing of small diamond-shaped gühls and secondary gühls with stars of the Medes, placed on a lattice formed by small crosses. Five pastel borders with geometric decorations surround the main greenish with a series of vertical lozenges connected, decorated with cruciform star-shaped flowers in polychrome. Two reserves with bands complete the set at each end. Signed in a diamond medallion ruby. Nice palette (small wear on one edge).
