Handwritten memoirs from the 17th century, addressed to the owners of the SALINS DE PECAUX (1462 (17th century copy), 1622, August 21, 1659). The marsh of PECCAIS is a pond located near Aigues-Mortes (Gard), exploited as a salt marsh since Antiquity: "Memorandum on the dispute between Mr. the abbot of PSALMODY, owner of one of the salt pans of PECAIS, in the territory of ST LAURENT D'AIGOUZE (30) and Messrs. The Owners of the other salt pans in the Terroir of AIGUESMORTES (30), about the right of Blanque.
