History
The Babigon service embodies the classical elegance of porcelain production by the Imperial Manufactory during the reign of Tsar Alexander I. The service was created in 1823-1824 and was intended for the Peterhof Palace. In 1857, part of the service was transferred to the newly built Belvedere Palace on Babigon Hill near Peterhorf, from which it got its name.
