History
Alexander Alexeyevich Tuchkov (1777-1812) was a Russian military leader and major general who participated in many battles including Vitebsk, Smolensk and Valutina Gora. It was during the Battle of Borodino in 1812 that he was mortally wounded in the chest by machine gun fire and lost his life.
