CENTRAL INDIA - VIJAYNAGAR PERIOD (ca 1336 - 1565) important 15th/16th century sculpture in marble (height and width : 92 and 45 cm) depicting the goddess "Gauri", who, like her emanations Parvati and Uma, is depicted four-armed - Below, the figure is flanked by a pair of female celebrants in tribhanga posture and at her feet two kneeling female worshippers, presumably referring to the donors of the sculpture prov : collection from Deurle - certainly from before 1960 in Belgium || important 15th/16th Cent.
