De Vito, Michela At the convent of Capodimonte. - De Vito, Michela. At the convent of Capodimonte. First half of the 19th century. Watercolor on paper, signed lower center, 370 x 250 mm. Also in the lot are two other gouaches of similar size depicting nuns outside a convent and some nuns of the Infant Jesus in Lecce. Abruzzese by origin, Michela De Vito was active in Naples in the first half of the 19th century where she had a discrete career specializing in views and scenes of daily life. (3)
