Collection of Costumes in Lithography - [Militaria Costumes]. Album consisting of 63 hand-colored lithographs based on designs by Heinrich Ambros Ecker (1807-1840) and Heinrich Maria Dietrich Monten (1799-1843) depicting cavalry and infantry costumes with 28 plates devoted to the Royaume de Wurtemmberg, 26 plates to Hesse, and 9 loose plates. The approx. 250 x 200 mm glued and captioned plates were published from 1838-43 by Christian Weiss in Würtzburg (small defects, 4 plates trimmed.) Coeval binding in half calf with friezes and title in gold on smooth spine.
