History
With a letter from Bernard Steinitz given in Paris, March 25, 2004, in which the famous antique dealer expresses his wish to exhibit this "small marquetry table stamped by Martin Carlin belonging to you [...]. We propose to include it in our next catalog, to be published in early September 2004 on the occasion of the Biennale des Antiquaires. [The price of this table could be from 180,000 to 220,000 euros [...]".

A living room table inlaid with tobacco wood, with crosses delimited by compound fillets underlined by rosewood; oval in shape, it opens with a drawer for writing utensils and rests on four fluted uprights and arched legs joined by a curved front shelf.
Ornamentation of chased and gilded bronze such as gallery with frieze of ovals, asparagus, acanthus and hooves in leonine legs.
