CAMILLE HILAIRE (1916-2004) PAINTER-CARTONNIER & PINTON FRÈRES LISSIER À AUBUSSON & MAISON LELEU DÉCORATION ÉDITEUR Exotic birds in a French garden, unique piece made in 1957 for the Villa Médy Roc in Cap d'Antibes Tapestry of lice. Colored wools. A part cut out then sewn receiving, originally, an opening (door) of 208 x 78 cm. Signed HILAIRE and marked Edition - LELEU and the monogram of the weaver in the weft in bottom on the right, carries the bolduc on the back with the mentions of cartonnier, weaver and dimensions. 435 x 630 cm Provenance and history: Former collection of the Villa Médy Roc, Cap d'Antibes. From an exceptional decoration made in 1957 by the House Leleu decoration.
