An impressive life-size patinated wood model of a horse
England, circa 1820
H: 211 x W: 240 x D: 60 cm
Also called saddlery horses, they allowed saddlers to present their new goods and other equestrian equipment to their wealthy clientele. Many horse owners also owned them to be able to display their prestige harnesses. This sculpture has always been exhibited in the decoration office of Abel and Christophe, becoming an iconic piece of their collection.
