Curious little lot composed of a very rare piece and an autograph letter.
"Breton song without rhyme or measure; on the Reception of Madame the Duchess of Duras in the good city of Saint-Malo: On the Air, of the Romance of Saint Louis, or Sing Dame Louison Le Brun ".
Rennes, Pierre Garnier, 1769, in-12, in sheet, 8 pp, anecdotal highlighting in pencil (red).
Very rare small piece printed in RENNES, and accompanied by an autograph letter of the duke of Duras, on laid paper.
Louise-Françoise Maclovie de Coëtquen, duchess of DURAS, born in 1724 in Saint-Malo, daughter of Malo III de Coëtquen, wife of Emmanuel-Félicité de Durfort, marshal duke of Duras (1715-1789); she was heiress by her father of the county of Combourg who sold it in 1761 to Chateaubriand's father.
Absent from Sacher. No copy in the CCFr.
Only a mention to this document is found in the Bulletin Archéologique de l'Association bretonne, 24 th session of the Congrès Breton, in Redon in 1881 and an annotation made by Desmazières de Sechelles in 1860 in a Malouine printing (error of the BNF for the mention to Claire de Duras the wife of Lettre).
