Important Virgin and Child in Majesty Round bump in lime wood carved, traces of polychromy The Virgin, dressed in a mantle with broken pleats held by a diamond-shaped clasp in the middle of her chest, is seated on a throne with columns called "throne of wisdom" from which a cushion is emerging. Her left hand holds the clothed Child Jesus holding the dove in both hands. In her right hand she holds the sceptre and is wearing a crown with flowers H. 93,5 cm L. 38 cm P. 24 cm Provenance: > Private collection, Lot-et-Garonne > Sold with a certificate of expertise from Mr. Charles Pellat de Villedon, expert approved by the Compagnie nationale des experts, dated August 4, 1984. Condition report : Restorations, lacks, accidents, cracks, worm holes... Missing in particular a finial of the crown.
