Biography:
A Soviet artist, poet, painter, and graphic designer who was the originator of the "Second Odessa Vanguard," Sokolov studied at the Odessa School of Fine Arts from 1935 to 1939. He studied with Teofil Fraerman, an artist who also belonged to the Odessa "Independent", he was close to Rouault, Chagall or Matisse.
