ANTIPHONARY
MUSICAL MANUSCRIT, Antiphonas, 1748; 50 ff. on parchment in one vol. in-fol., modern parchment binding.
Spanish antiphonary from the convent of S. Pablo and S. Domingo de Ezija (Ecija) in Andalusia. A title page, with coat of arms, gives in a cartouche the table of songs. The first page opens with a beautiful initial decorated with a coat of arms, and a rich frame drawn with colored inks. After the 49 leaves of the antiphonary, a last leaf, calligraphed and decorated with black and red inks, gives the date, and the names of the authors in cartouches: Fr. Joannes de Velasco and Fr. Paulus de Carmona.
