Yatagan. Ottoman Empire. Early 19th century.
The slightly curved blade is made of steel, the back of the blade has a central ridge and a flat hollow on both sides. The handle is made of walrus tooth with two ear-shaped grip scales, the middle piece and the grip bolsters are made of steel. All metal parts decorated with vine work in gold inlay (koftgari). Inscription in Arabic on the blade.
