Only the present first part has appeared. - "Little is known about its author, but the work displays a strong Dutch influence, particulary in the style of the Van Keulens." (Nat. Maritime Mus. Cat.) - Italian translation of P. Goos' Straets-Boeck of 1662 with the maps in the revision of F. M. Levanto, the beautiful copper title in turn is a mirror copy of the title of Goos' Zee Atlas. - The numerous woodcuts in the text show navigational instruments, coastal and harbor charts and especially hundreds of coastal elevations; the maps with the beautiful gest. coastal and island maps. - "A manual that was immediately popular with seafarers and helmsmen. It was the result of 20 years of navigational experience in this area."
