Tenas/Monsieur Duchemin. "Bouffée enivrante" silent gag in 2 original plates. Published in the newspaper Tintin. India ink and blue pencil around 1980. TBE. 45 X 35 cm (X2) Louis Santels (1926 - 2012) aka Tenas made his debut with his publications in "Héroïc albums" from 1947. Then in Marcinelle in the 50s he works for the Moustique and the Journal de Spirou with Franquin, Morris and Jijé. With the creation of Mickey magazine in 1950, he became one of the pillars by drawing the first covers of the newspaper as well as the first episodes of "Mickey through the centuries. He also created the series "Les aventures d'Onkr, l'abominable homme des glaces" (The adventures of Onkr, the abominable ice man) which also appeared in Mickey between 1961 and 1972. In the early 80's, Tenas met Tibet and produced gags for the Tintin newspaper.
