Van Bever [c.1825] Aquatint, heightened with watercolor, c. 60 x 85 cm, wove paper, signed lower left: "drawn by C. Janssens", lower middle: "Figures by Madou", lower right: "Engraved by Gibele" (qqs. foxing, slight browning, tear without missing in upper margin). Under wooden frame. The former Sovereign Palace of Brabant became the Palace of the States-General in 1817 during the Dutch occupation, and in 1830, the Palace of the Independent Nation. Located in front of the Park of Brussels, it currently houses the Senate.
