Officer's saber of light cavalry. Brass mounting. Blackened wood handle with checkering. Cap with "melon ribs". Guard with a branch and two auricles in shuttle. Quillon curved towards the point. Curved blade, with flat back and hollow sides, engraved to the third (pitting). Brass scabbard with two bracelets (knocks and dents).
As is. 19th century (composite reassembly).
