Lord of Chambon, he obtained letters-patents carrying institution of majorat attached to the title of baron, on December 25, 1810. His only daughter, Adélaïde de Coussay, married on January 15, 1830, Henri-Auguste-Georges du Vergier, marquis de la Rochejacquelein, former peer, today (1856) senator of the Empire.
