Pieter Furnius, Stradanus - The Course of Human Life: Choosing Virtue / Description: The Enticement of Luxury: in the foreground, an adolescent boy rides a rearing horse towards one of the Furies, who lifts a youthful mask to reveal a wrinkled face; to left, a crowned king disappears into a pit, filling the air with smoke; beyond, in the gardens of a wealthy dwelling, figures dance, play music, feast and relax by a fountain; within the image: 'Io. Strad. Fland.inve. / H. Cock.excud. 1570. / .PF.'
