Qajar miniature Koran. Manuscript on paper, 19 lines per page in fine naskh script, first double page with richly illuminated frontispiece. Titles of Suras in gold on blue and red background. Ends of verses in gold diamonds. Marginal medallions. The colophon has been erased. Gilt edge. Period binding in painted and lacquered papier-mâché, decorated with a floral composition (wear, the frontispiece and the binding are damaged). Size : 9,5 x 5,5 cm. Small wear, lacks and stains; defects to the binding.
