Provenance
This service called "frise d'or vigne" entered the Sèvres sales store on 19 February 1819 (Arch. Sèvres, Vv1, 118 v°). Twelve dinner plates were sold to the miniaturist painter Moriot in September 1843 (Vz6, 141 v°) but the majority of the service was offered as a prize to the Mont-de-Marsan races by the Mayor in June 1852, including 72 dinner plates, 15 soup plates, including this one, and two navette butter dishes (Vbb11, 272)
