Porcelain soup plate, decorated in gold with a frieze of vine on the marli and a cluster of grapes in the basin, in the center a rosette, gold net on the edges. Good condition. Royal Manufacture of Sevres, Louis XVIII period, 1816-1824. Mark with the blue stamp with the figure of the king Louis XVIII, gilder's mark. D. 24 cm. Provenance This service called "frise d'or vigne" entered the Sèvres sales store on 19 February 1819 (Arch. Sèvres, Vv1, 118 v°). Twelve dinner plates were sold to the miniaturist painter Moriot in September 1843 (Vz6, 141 v°) but the majority of the service was offered as a prize to the Mont-de-Marsan races by the Mayor in June 1852, including 72 dinner plates, 15 soup plates, including this one, and two navette butter dishes (Vbb11, 272)
