Inscribed on the reverse in another hand "Christian Rohlfs" and "Partie aus dem wilden Graben bei Weimar". - Faintly wavy, isolated small losses of color. Bailiff 94 Provenance Hauswedell & Nolte, Hamburg, Auction 193, Modern Art, June 14-16, 1973, Lot 1702; Private Collection Hesse. In 1888, another two, but more extensive landscapes were created at the Wilden Graben in Weimar.
