The Count of Champignac and his sidekick invent the most economical means of transportation in the world, made of sugar and mushrooms. This is the reason why the author has created a very nice plate.
Franquin made me work a lot on what he called "silhouetting". That is to say, the transition from ink to brush. He was working with brushes at the time and he taught me the technical gestures. Now, I have switched to the pen, but when I see some of my plates, I tell myself that the silhouetting with the brush was not bad. J.-C.F.
