This is a scene inspired by Tora Torapa. I like to reinterpret some scenes from my old albums. This is an unpublished drawing. I did a night scene, with the moon above reflected in the sea. The star in the story is passing below. We can see it from above. There are also these menacing soldiers, the famous Tontons Mamoutes, a reference to the Tontons Macoutes who used to reign terror in Haiti. They are armed with Kalashnikovs. It's done with Indian ink and watercolor. I never use ecoline. There is no concentrated ink. When I use it, it's when I need a very bright color. For Spirou in broad daylight, for example. As this is a night scene, I don't want to go too hard. J.-C.F.
