Paul Nadar (1856 - 1939). Nadar Pantheon, 1854. Silver photographic print pasted on cardboard, autograph signature on the mount with mention of the studio address "48 rue Bassano", circa 1910, dimensions 20 x 27,4 cm. Some small stains on the edges. Felix Nadar had realized as a caricaturist a large lithograph representing the poets, novelists, historians, publicists, journalists, ... of the time. He represents 249 people in 1854. This lithograph will know a second version in 1858 bringing the number of people to 270. A few years later, Paul Nadar, in front of the difficulties to find the original proofs, will realize this photographic proof of the 1st version of the lithograph.
