A rare pewter dish with the god Mars
Depicting Mars in the centre surrounded by four allegories of peace, abundance, war, and envy after engravings by Etienne Delaune. The rim with allegories of the four continents alternating with busts of great generals. Two soldered repairs over concentric cracks, the central node reattached. D 48.9 cm.
