Gruel, in his Manuel de l'amateur de reliures, gives a reproduction of this plate with lace which he comments as follows: The composition of this extremely rich plate is the work of Dubuisson himself; for he was renowned not only as a bookbinder, but also as a talented draughtsman (t. II, pl. A, and p. 69).
Small foxing at one joint, trace of restoration at two joints, upper hinge slightly cracked over the height of two boxes.
