Le Fèvre de Caumartin, state councillor, intendant of the province of Champagne and founder of a famous library.
In parallel to her husband's collection, she built up a library with the "taste of a true bibliophile" says Guigard (Nouvel armorial du bibliophile, t. I, p. 143).
Quentin-Bauchart mentions this woman as a bibliophile and cites only one book that belonged to her (t. II, pp. 414-415).
Regulated copy. One will notice the very beautiful marbled paper used for the endpapers and the lining.
Some foxing. Small rubs to the binding.
