Model of a pontoon. High rank ship with three decks of 106 guns distributed on the three main decks. Exceptional realization in precious wood such as boxwood, most probably. Different lines of tinted and shaded decks. Everything here is done with attention to the smallest detail. Bow and stern are very realistic at this scale. Carved bone figurehead. Presented under high sails. Very fine and realistic standing and running rigging. The model rests on a mirror lined with finely assembled wooden railings. On a blackened wooden base and under a blown glass globe. Beginning of the XIXth century. Dimensions of the model : length HT 26 cm, length hull 19 cm. Dimensions base 35 cm x 17 cm, height globe 37 cm. Sold as is, note the deformations of the railing bordering the mirror. Note : Beautiful and rare model of pontoon in a perfect state of conservation.
